💼 Ready, Set, Learn: TIAA Financial Webinars

April 13, 2026 by Deidre Mings

💡 Build Your Financial Wellness & Retirement Readiness

At Missouri State University, wellness is a priority—and that includes financial wellness and retirement readiness. Building a strong financial foundation can reduce stress today while helping you prepare for the future.

To support that goal, TIAA is offering a series of educational webinars designed to meet you wherever you are in your financial journey.

🏫 Your Retirement Plan Partner

  • TIAA administers the faculty CURP retirement plan
  • Serves as an approved asset manager for the 403(b) retirement savings plan
  • CURP Faculty Option: Eligible to transition to MOSERS after 6 years of service

💰 Understanding Your 403(b)

A 403(b) is a flexible, tax-advantaged retirement savings plan available to:

✔️ Full-time employees
✔️ Part-time employees

You can contribute through payroll deductions using:

  • Pre-tax contributions → lowers taxable income now
  • Roth (post-tax) contributions → tax-free income later
  • Or both → for added flexibility

➡️ A powerful way to supplement MOSERS or CURP and build additional retirement income.
