UPDATE 12:30 PM: All Banner applications are currently working. We will continue to monitor and will update this post if instability returns.

Due to an unexpected system issue, Banner applications including Admin Banner, Employee Dashboard and Finance Dashboard are available only intermittently. Missouri State’s information technology teams have identified the likely cause and are working toward a solution. This post will be updated.

UPDATE 1:30 PM: Microsoft has resolved this issue.

An outage reported by Microsoft is impacting Missouri State users’ ability to access Microsoft 365 services. Some users are unable or intermittently able to access services including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Planner.

Microsoft is working to resolve the outage.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and post updates here.

UPDATE March 4, 3:40 PM: Internet access should be stable now. MOREnet has mitigated the issue and is taking additional measures to prevent future service interruptions of a similar nature.

UPDATE March 4, 10:04 AM: MOREnet is still seeing occasional connectivity issues and mitigating them as they arise with the most recent being earlier this morning.  We will update when more information is available.

UPDATE 1:40 pm: MOREnet connectivity issues continue. MOREnet is working to resolve. Missouri State’s networking team is closely monitoring.

UPDATE 12:48 PM: Missouri State’s MOREnet connectivity has returned to normal and all services are available. We will continue to closely monitor this situation.

Missouri State’s internet service provider, MOREnet is investigating connectivity issues that are intermittently affecting access to university resources and the internet from our campus locations. This issue is affecting institutions across the state.

Impacted Missouri State systems include Banner and Argos. In addition, access to any internet resources may be slow or time-out when accessed from campus.

Missouri State’s networking team is carefully monitoring the situation, and we will provide updates here as available.

UPDATE 4:25 PM: Microsoft services appear to have returned to normal and university systems are available.

An outage in Microsoft’s cloud services platform, Azure, is affecting access to university systems and applications. Users may experience delays or failures when attempting to log in using their university account or access Microsoft applications (e.g. Teams), and may be unable to access university systems (e.g. Dynamic Forms).

We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this post.

On Sunday, October 19, the following systems will be updated and will be unavailable in order to maintain the University’s technology infrastructure:

• 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Admin Banner, BDM, Self Service Banner, our custom web applications, and all other systems reliant upon the database will not be available during this time.

There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Brightspace, Office 365, email services, video surveillance systems, electronic door access, and the application for admission.
