RESOLVED: Microsoft Outage Impacting Microsoft 365 Services

UPDATE 1:30 PM: Microsoft has resolved this issue.

An outage reported by Microsoft is impacting Missouri State users’ ability to access Microsoft 365 services. Some users are unable or intermittently able to access services including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Planner.

Microsoft is working to resolve the outage.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and post updates here.

MOREnet Connectivity Issue Affecting Missouri State Services

UPDATE March 4, 3:40 PM: Internet access should be stable now. MOREnet has mitigated the issue and is taking additional measures to prevent future service interruptions of a similar nature.

UPDATE March 4, 10:04 AM: MOREnet is still seeing occasional connectivity issues and mitigating them as they arise with the most recent being earlier this morning.  We will update when more information is available.

UPDATE 1:40 pm: MOREnet connectivity issues continue. MOREnet is working to resolve. Missouri State’s networking team is closely monitoring.

UPDATE 12:48 PM: Missouri State’s MOREnet connectivity has returned to normal and all services are available. We will continue to closely monitor this situation.

Missouri State’s internet service provider, MOREnet is investigating connectivity issues that are intermittently affecting access to university resources and the internet from our campus locations. This issue is affecting institutions across the state.

Impacted Missouri State systems include Banner and Argos. In addition, access to any internet resources may be slow or time-out when accessed from campus.

Missouri State’s networking team is carefully monitoring the situation, and we will provide updates here as available.

Banner Q1 Upgrade on Sunday 26 April 2026

On Sunday 26 April 2026, Banner Q1 upgrades will be applied to the production system.

During this time, you should plan for Banner and related systems to be unavailable between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. We strive to complete the upgrade as quickly as possible but sometimes need the extra time to finish everything. Rest assured we will make the system available again as soon as the upgrade is complete.

The following primary systems will be unavailable during the upgrade:

  • My Missouri State
  • Admin Banner
  • Argos, including Bear Intelligence
  • Banner Document Management (BDM)
  • Self-service 9, including Employee Profile, Student Profile, Registration, and Faculty Assignments
  • Custom web applications (Grails and Django), including Who-What, ATLAS, and Class Dashboard
  • Any other system that relies on a direct connection to Banner

The following systems will not be impacted:

  • University networks
  • Phone systems
  • Main (public) websites
  • Brightspace
  • Office 365
  • Email services
  • Video surveillance systems
  • Electronic door access
  • Application for admission

Banner Q4 Upgrade Complete!

The Banner Q4 upgrade is complete. All systems are available and should be running normally.
