April 3 – Cori Jay
Cori Jay is a local singer/songwriter who brings a funky-folky-bluesy-pop-rock feel to the stage. She plays a mix of original music and cover songs with her soul-filled flair.
Jay has been gracing the stages of Springfield and the surrounding area for 15 years and has honed her craft with her partner and percussionist, Chad, who’s unique style makes them a dynamic duo.
April 10 – MSU Jazz Symposium I
The MSU Jazz Symposium I group joins us on Missouri State’s “Fountain Day.” After the fountain is turned on at 11 a.m., head on over to enjoy a jazz concert made up of some of the most talented students in Missouri State’s jazz studies degree program. They routinely perform on and off campus at a variety of venues, including the Blue Room Comedy Club, Hold Fast Brewery, and the Dugout.
April 17 – Barak Hill
Barak Hill is an Americana singer-songwriter from Springfield, Missouri. His songs and sound run in the same vein as Ray Lamontagne, Amos Lee, Steve Earle and Jason Isbell. Hill describes his work as “lyric-driven Americana delivered with a soulful voice.”
Hill is a past winner of American Songwriter Magazine’s Santa Cruz Guitar Song Competition and was recently voted one of the top three solo artists in the Springfield area in a 417 Magazine readers’ poll.
April 24 – Hometown Tourist
Todd Osbern has been playing music as a part-time job for about 15 years locally and regionally. He formed Hometown Tourist in 2017, which consists of Osbern (vocals/guitar/songwriting), Eric Rosseau (drums, percussion), Matt Streuber (bass, lead guitar) and Drew Axley (saxophone, flute).
Osbern has written over 60 original songs, but Hometown Tourist also does several covers from various genres and decades of music, with their own “flavorful interpretations.”
The group’s live shows are filled with positive energy and crowd participation, with an emphasis on breaking the fourth wall between musician and audience member and creating an authentic connection with the listener.
