This morning we woke up early and left for a relaxing day at an island. The beach was beautiful. Once my feet hit the sand, I realized how hot it was and ran into the water. I received our picture this morning from Anna, one of the foreign service officers who helped coordinated our meeting at the American Center in the Diamond Plaza. We left Hue and the Forbidden Purple City yesterday to arrive in Nha Trang. This city is known as Thành Phố Biển (Beach City) by the Vietnamese locals. This morning, we ate a quick breakfast and left the hotel at 6:15 to drive to a nearby city to catch our 10 o'clock flight to Nha Trang. After arriving, our driver and tour guide picked us up at the airport. They took us to a beach side restaurant where we ate shrimp, fried squid, hot pot, beef, noodles, and rice.
