In recent times, the Satanic Temple has gained many new members, especially people from the LGBTQ community, and significant national attention.

Why are people drawn to this new religious movement and how has the internet fueled its growth?

David Embree, a Missouri State University per course faculty member in the department of religious studies, provides his thoughts on this topic to VICE.
