Gather around and let me tell you a tale.
Once upon a time, in the far-off kingdom of Training and Documentation there lived an ugly interface. This interface’s name was IT Academy but it didn’t know it was ugly. It wasn’t its fault that it looked like it had been designed in the very early days of the internet and no one had updated it. It did what it was supposed to do, and if its text was confusing and its layout non-intuitive, at least it did its job, without much complaint. But one day the beautiful Fairy Godmother Microsoft decided that the lowly IT Academy needed a facelift, and went to work. Many days and nights they toiled until, at last, from the shadows, emerged a resplendent new Microsoft IT Academy. The classes it offered were not much changed, but now everyone could see the beauty and worth of the ugly duckling. The kingdom cheered and passed out access to all the students, faculty, and staff members who requested it and much Microsoft-centered learning was had by all!
Alright, so the land of Training and Documentation might not be so very far-off, but we really are rejoicing over the facelift of Microsoft IT Academy. In case you don’t know, MITA is a repository of hundreds of courses designed to teach people how to use various Microsoft products. Need to learn about Excel 2013? There is a course. Need to know about Link? There is a class about that, too. You can even take courses to prepare you for Microsoft certification exams.
We’ve had access to Microsoft IT Academy for a while, but with the new interface everything is much easier to use and easier to understand. It embraces the modular look that Microsoft has adopted and is much simpler, without removing any of the old courses. There has never been a better time to brush up on your Microsoft basics or learn a whole new program.
