Career Center Update
CNAS has a new liaison to the Career Center – Jacob Miles jacobmiles@missouristate.edu Here’s a note from Jacob –
As the liaison for CNAS, I’m excited to continue working with students, faculty, and staff in the College I called home for 6 years: I graduated with both my BS and MS in Mathematics from MSU and am now looking forward to growing and improving our workforce development efforts.
There are several ways I, and the Career Center in general, can help your students become career-ready:
- Class Assignments: we can facilitate resume/cover letter/CV/Personal Statement reviews, mock interviews, and other career-related assignments.
- Class Presentations/Workshops: I would love to present to your students on any career topic relevant to them.
- Referrals: Feel free to refer your students to me personally, especially when they have broader questions about career/major exploration or are looking for guidance or resources in searching for jobs/internships.
- Job & Internship Career Expo: This is on Wednesday, February 28th from 10:00-2:00 in the PSU Ballroom. We have over 70 registered employers representing many industries, and students or alumni from any major seeking a job or internship are welcome. We will also host our annual CNAS STEM Career Expo, usually in November.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there are other ways we can partner for the good of CNAS students! I’m looking forward to working with you.
