Dr. C. Edward Chang, professor in the Finance and General Business Department, and co-author Dr. Thomas M. Krueger, professor of finance at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, recently presented at Midwest Business Administration Association International on March 27 in Chicago, IL. They were awarded the “Best in Track: Financial Services” for “Vice versus Virtue: Mutual Fund Performance in the United States.” This is a new category by the Academy of Finance, and they are the first recipients.

Dr. Barry Wisdom, professor in the Management Department, has published his second article in a year. His paper entitled “Let’s Take Another Look at Quality” has been accepted for publication in the American Journal of Management (ISSN: 2165-7998).

Peggy Gilbert, assistant professor in theMarketing Department, was selected as one of two recipients of this year’s Missouri State Faculty Excellence in Community Service Awards! The committee commented they were impressed by her accomplishments in relation to her service to the community outside of work commitments. Peggy was honored at the All Faculty Reception on April 21, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Plaster Student Union Ballroom.

Dr. Richard Gebken, associate professor in the Technology and Construction Management Department, was awarded the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) 2014 Outstanding Educator Award in recognition of his contribution to excellence in teaching and support for construction education. He accepted his award in March at the 2014 ASC Convention in Washington D.C.
Dr. Alex Hamwi, assistant professor in the Marketing Department, recently published “Improving Sales Performance by Managing Sales Call Volume” in the Keller Center Research Report.
