Fruit Tree and Grape Pruning Workshop

We had around 30 people join us for the pruning workshop.  The group discussed pruning tools and sanitation of the tools.  Proper pruning cuts and the timing of those cuts were also discussed. Then the groups pruned grapes, new and old apple and peach trees. Mushroom update

Steven Turner is layering moist straw in the grow bags.

During the summer, we did a trial run to produce oyster mushrooms in bags to prepare for our Greenhouse and High Tunnel Workshop demonstration plantings. After working the process out, we prepared more bags for mushroom production in the high tunnel (reserving some for the well house Shroom Room as backup). Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop
