Professional development and networking are essential to career advancement. Hospitality students, Kaitlin Stein and Lauren McGrath, understand the importance of connecting with industry professionals. Both students along with hospitality faculty member, Jokima Hiller, represented our department at Kansas City Meeting Professionals International (KCMPI) Conference.

KCMPI Annual Conferences are designed for meeting planners, suppliers, students, and hospitality faculty who are aspiring to keep apprised of the fast paced changes taking place in the meetings industry. The conferences focus on connecting current and future meeting planners with industry experts through keynote addresses, creative breakout and panel discussions, as well as rewarding networking sessions.

The Kansas City Chapter of Meeting Professionals is the leading regional organization committed to shaping and defining the meeting and event industry. KCMPI’s goal is to build a rich, global meeting industry community with its members successfully creating relationships, keeping ahead of industry trends in the marketplace, and sharing ideas and knowledge.
