The Student Government Association recently passed a resolution for a collaborative art project that would place a canvas with a Missouri State bear head outline, filled with students’ maroon thumb prints, in the Plaster Student Union.
SGA approved the resolution during a Senate session Tuesday in the Traywick Parliamentary Room. The resolution, authored by David Schneider, director of university advancement, claims that the project would “provide an opportunity for increased student involvement in MSU athletic events and the university at large.”
The collaborative art project will be completed by Missouri State students as they enter the Plaster Sports Complex at the 2012 Homecoming football game. Funds for the canvas and paint materials will come from the SGA Projects Fund.
