The Student Government Association passed a resolution on Tuesday, November 30th recommending that a committee of students, library staff, Computer Services staff, and any other representatives of necessary departments be formed to decide how best to implement students’ desired changes to library hours.
The recommendation comes from the Academic Affairs Committee of SGA, which noted that in surveys, students expressed an interest in extending the hours of Duane G. Meyer Library because of the resources, convenience, and atmosphere the library provides, but further realized that the specific details involved with an extension would require coordination among several parties at the University.
A copy of the resolution will be sent to Neosha Mackey, Dean of Library Services, and Kevin Piercy, Coordinator of User Support Services.
