Welcoming refugees amid worry from locals

Human geography expert Dr. Emily Frazier speaks on refugee resettlement.

With two recent refugee families settling in Alachua County, Florida, concerns from residents have arisen.

Missouri State University geography assistant professor Dr. Emily Frazier researches U.S. refugee resettlement and spoke with NPR about the growing issue.

“One thing that is important is just communication and education in the community, just trying to make folks aware of what is happening and what to expect,” she told the University of Florida affiliate, WUFT.
