This course delves into the nuanced landscape of generational differences, exploring each generation’s unique preferences, expectations, and communication methods.

In today’s dynamic workforce, we witness the convergence of five distinct generations collaborating to achieve common university objectives.  It offers a comprehensive examination of both the realities and myths surrounding generational differences, emphasizing their implications for effectively managing students and employees with diverse ages, backgrounds, and experiences.

Learning Objectives:

• Explore the history and significance of generational differences, understanding their profound impact on work relationships.
• Discuss the most crucial elements of generational differences concerning job performance.
• Differentiate between genuine generational differences and prevalent myths that are overly generalized and often counterproductive.
• Review key foundational practices and principles for managing performance, irrespective of age.

Reunite with fellow MSU LEAD Supervisors in exploring strategies for helping others resolve conflicts.
