Customer Service: Taking Good C.A.R.E.

Customers are the most important ingredients in the success of our university. As competition increases and the number of consumer choices multiplies, quality customer care is critical. Participants will learn how customer relations affect the university’s bottom line, and how today’s student-customer expectations are higher than ever. Learn the Customer C.A.R.E. model strategies and techniques for dealing with the three types of difficult customers.
Managing and Mediating Conflict for Others

Leaders often find themselves managing conflicts between others, whether among team members, other leaders, or outside individuals. This mediating role can be challenging and awkward to navigate, but a lack of resolution can lead to decreased productivity and increased turnover, and overall dissatisfaction. Learning how to help others resolve conflict is essential for leaders to develop successful and peaceful team dynamics. This session focuses on enhancing mediation and conflict-resolution skills for leaders.
Inspiring Leadership Through Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been identified as the number one core competency for effective leadership, productive relationships, and excellent service regardless of rank or title. Learners who attend this session will discover that productive relationships can either flourish or wither as a result of our ability, or inability, to exert control over our behavior. The essential premise of EI is that true, sustainable success requires honest awareness, control, and management of one’s own emotions, and an understanding of the emotions of others.
Managing Conflict for Yourself

Conflict is a part of our everyday lives, within both personal and professional contexts. Yet, when not properly handled, these conflict exchanges can lead to dissatisfaction and tense communication. Fortunately, understanding our own conflict behaviors can enable us to have more productive and successful interactions. This session will provide a foundation for understanding conflict processes and resolution techniques at home and in the workplace.
