Missouri State staff are the backbone of the university. Each summer, we celebrate their efforts through Staff Appreciation Week.
Mark your calendars now to take part in a host of events from June 17 through 21.
What to expect
- Monday: Join us from 4-7 p.m. for MSU Family Night in Mother’s Backyard. There will be free food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as special drink deals. Bring your BearPass and a lawn chair for you and your loved ones.
- Tuesday: Don your BearWear and gather for the annual staff photo. We will have cookies with Clif at the entrance to the new Grand Street underpass at 3 p.m.
- Wednesday: The university is closed for Juneteenth. Enjoy the day off and join the city’s second annual celebration.
- Thursday: Have a lunchtime treat with free Pineapple Whip on the West Mall. Then, share the love and appreciation for other staff on social media with the #MSUStaffShoutout.
- Friday: Cool off at the biggest staff party of the summer with root beer floats and other treats from Chartwells from 1-3 p.m. in the Glass Hall atrium and on the Glass Hall apron.
Last, but not least, start your weekend early with early release courtesy of President Smart at 3 p.m. June 21.
