National Lipid Day raises awareness about dyslipidemia—abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels that increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Since dyslipidemia often has no symptoms, a simple lipid panel can play a vital role in early detection and prevention.

🩺 Why It Matters:

  • Dyslipidemia often has no symptoms.
  • Early detection through a lipid panel can help you take control.
  • Lifestyle changes and medications can improve heart health.

✅ Take Action:

  • Schedule a cholesterol screening.
  • Choose heart-healthy foods.
  • Move daily—even a short walk helps!
  • Know your numbers. Protect your heart. ❤️

💡 Wellness Screening = Better Health + Possible Incentives

Biometric screenings are available year-round and covered at 100% under the MSU health plan when received at Magers Health and Wellness or another in-network providers.

Employees enrolled in certain voluntary insurance plans may also earn incentives for completing health screenings like lipid panels.

  • Accident plan Physician claim form
  • Critical illness plan wellness claim form
  • Hospital insurance “be well” claim form
