The Laboratory Theatre Company (LTC) is accepting forms for all areas of production for its first show of the season, William Shakespeare’s, “Julius Caesar.”
LTC is a student-led, student-run theatrical production company dedicated to producing accessible, enriching and new theatre. According to their mission statement, LTC allows students “to experiment and learn in a safe and welcoming environment for all.”
LTC, in association with the theatre and dance department of Missouri State University, provides a platform for underrepresented communities.
“We look forward to seeing all the talent this group has to offer,” said Lauren Hulsebus, theatre and dance marketing assistant.
The audition forms and creative team forms are due Sept. 7.
Interviews for potential creative team members will be held via Zoom. Callbacks for actors will be held Sept. 8, 6-10 p.m.
About the company
The Laboratory Theatre Company is a real-world theatre company operated by students in MSU’s department of theatre and dance.
The company seeks to help students develop the skills for producing a full-scale theatre season — choosing shows and venues, hiring artistic staff, managing budgets, creating marketing campaigns, and more.
The LTC also contributes to the greater theatre community of Springfield through partnerships with local theatre organizations and charitable nonprofits.
