MSU quintet shines in 2024 National Trumpet Competition

At the 2024 National Trumpet Competition (NTC), the Missouri State University Trumpet Quintet won third place in The Bill PFund Trumpets College Small Ensemble Division.  The competition took place March 8-11 at Texas A&M University, Kingsville.   The small ensemble division began with 40 groups from universities around the country. CODERS program impacts over 2K students in first 3 years

In 2020, the U.S. Department of Education awarded Missouri State University a $4 million grant to expand and improve computer science education programs in rural area schools. The funding comes from the Education Innovation and Research program. Missouri State received one of only 20 awards from over 1,000 applicants nationwide. This is how the CODERS Project was born. Traveling with a choir: Making travel accessible and memorable through music

Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, China, Spain, Germany and South Africa: Missouri State University Chorale students tend to graduate with multiple stamps on their passports. Chorale shares Springfield’s history in ‘Easter, 1906’

On Easter weekend 1906, an angry mob of white men lynched three innocent Black men in the Springfield, Missouri, town square. Until recently, only a small plaque marked the site in remembrance of the victims.
