Dr. Wang’s research group attended 26th Annual Cardiovascular Day Tuesday, February the 26th, 2019. Two graduate students gave a poster presentation. Spencer Thomas’s project is focused on the vascular inflammation, particularly the interaction between leukocytes and microvascular endothelial cells modulated by nucleotide P2Y2 receptor. He presented “P2Y₂R Receptor-dependent Changes In Microvascular Leukocyte-endothelial Interaction” in the conference. Hailee Marino’s study is centered on the influence of nucleotide P2Y2 receptor on the glucose metabolism. She presented “Investigating the Role of the P2Y2 Receptor in Glucose Homeostasis”.
