Getting ready to come to Missouri State University for your first semester? Whether you are a first-time student or are transferring credit to MSU, we’re making it easier than ever to make sure that all the things you will need to do before classes start get done. There are a lot of items to complete, from registering for classes to making sure any financial encumbrances are cleared to completing paperwork for Taylor Health and Wellness Center to submitting final transcripts from high school or other institutions.
Sound like a lot? It is, but we’ve got you covered. You can now use the New Student Checklist in My Missouri State to see what items you’ve already taken care of and what still needs to be done. We’ll mark items complete for you as information is entered into our computer systems (auto-magically, within 24 hours), so, for example, once your math placement exam score is recorded, the checklist will know that item is complete. You’ll only see items applicable to you, so you won’t need to worry that you’ve missed anything.
Awesome, you say? We agree. Let us help you get started!
To access the New Student checklist, visit http://my.missouristate.edu, click on the Academics tab, and look for the “Register for a SOAR Session and View the SOAR Checklist” link in the New Student channel
Enjoy, and welcome to Missouri State University!
