Missouri State University changed to a new dental network provider on Feb. 1.
- Have my dental benefits changed? No, as with medical insurance, your coverage is the same as it was at the beginning of 2018.
- What changed? We have a new network provider called Connection Dental. For example, our medical network is Mercy. The dental network will now be Connection Dental.
- Why did this happen? Our former network provider, DHA, unexpectedly left the market in January, so we had to find a new network.
- What happens if I visited my dentist (who is not on the new network) between Feb. 1 and Feb. 28? You will not see a change. Reimbursement and bill payment will remain the same.
- What do I do if my dentist, orthodontist, etc. is not on the new network? Can they get added? Yes, you or your provider can contact PPO USA directly at 877-277-6872. You can also contact Med-Pay at 417-886-6886.
- I am in the middle of treatment, what should I do? Please contact Med-Pay at 417-886-6886.
- When will I receive my ID card? Notification letters and updated ID cards were sent to employee homes during the month of February; however, some ID cards may still be in the mail depending on the U.S. Postal Service and delivery routes.
- Dental Only Cards – will come from Med-Pay
- Medical/Dental Cards – will come from Med-Trak
