Do you have pain when you walk or stand?
Mercy Clinic Interventional Pain Management has a “MILD”, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, procedure which is a non-surgical procedure to improve activity tolerance. MILD treats spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spaces in the spine putting pressure on the spinal cord and spinal nerves) with no recovery or down time. Four out of five patients have improvement in walking and standing duration 250% at one year. Previously, Sadie Giedd, DO, Chukwudi Chiaghana, MD and Eric Stewart, MD were the Mercy providers who offered this procedure. Starting in August, Mercy added another provider who is available to offer the MILD procedure, Dr. Cameron Hess.

Employees enrolled in the Allstate Accident plan can file for a $50/$75 physician treatment visit reimbursement (payable once per year for non-accident related service). The accident plan is designed to pay you a lump sum benefit directly to the insured for covered services related to an accident. However, the plan features this additional benefit payable on any physician treatment provided outside of the hospital, including: sickness, accident, well exam, physical exam, eye exam, or dental exam.
The accident policy may only be added during open enrollment (November 1- December 1).
