Planned Banner Upgrade

To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the Banner environment on Sunday morning, April 28, 2019.

On April 28, 2019, the following systems will be updated and therefore unavailable:

  • 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. Blackboard
  • 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. My Missouri State portal and all Banner systems

There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Office 365, email services, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.

To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the Banner environment on Sunday morning, March 31, 2019.

On March 31, 2019, the following systems will be upgraded and therefore unavailable:

  • 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. – My Missouri State portal
  • 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Campus Receivables Collector (CRC) system 

There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.

Services will be unavailable as follows:

  • March 10, 2019 from 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. – Banner will not be available.

There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Blackboard, Office 365, email services, CashNet, video surveillance systems, electronic door access systems, and the application for admission.

Scheduled Network Upgrade

In their efforts to maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, the Networking and Telecommunications department will be applying updates to network connectivity equipment on the morning of Sunday, February 10, 2019.

Network services will be interrupted as follows:

  • February 10, 2019 from 4:00 a.m. – 4:10 a.m. – Internet access for all MSU campuses will be unavailable.
  • February 10, 2019 from 6:00 a.m. – 6:10 a.m. – Several servers in the Cheek Computing Center will be unavailable.  Server administrators will be contacted if their servers are affected.
