Argos Outage Fri 22 May 2026

At approximately 1:50 pm on Fri 22 May 2026, Argos will be subject to an outage and upgrade that should take less than an hour. No other systems will be affected.

We strive to plan outages outside of normal business hours. Unfortunately, this outage was planned by our cloud provider and it’s required at this time. We’ll do our best to bring Argos back up to full operation as quickly as possible after the outage occurs.

If you have questions or concerns, please submit an IT help desk ticket and we’ll get back with you as quickly as possible.

Brief internet outage tonight!

We need to have a brief network outage tonight around midnight to upgrade some equipment. The outage should only be a minute or two and none of the Banner infrastructure will be affected. However, anything originating from a campus network and connecting to Banner or any other outside destinations will be interrupted during this time.

Partial System Outage

We’re experiencing partial or complete outages on some systems including Argos, AppMan, and the public-facing website (https://www.missouristate.edu/). We’re working to diagnose and fix the issues and remain unsure if all of the outages are related. I’ll post a follow-up when we have more information.

Banner Quarterly Upgrade Complete!

The Banner quarterly upgrade is complete and the system has been verified by Information Services personnel and relevant functional areas. The verification was completed around 2:00 pm. If you encounter any issues with Banner or related systems, please use the normal support channels to report it.

Reminder: Banner Q1 Upgrades on Sun 26 April 2026

OnĀ Sunday 26 April 2026, Banner Q1 upgrades will be applied to the production system.

During this time, you should plan for Banner and related systems to be unavailable between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. We strive to complete the upgrade as quickly as possible but sometimes need the extra time to finish everything. Rest assured we will make the system available again as soon as the upgrade is complete.

The following primary systems will be unavailable during the upgrade:

  • My Missouri State
  • Admin Banner
  • Argos, including Bear Intelligence
  • Banner Document Management (BDM)
  • Self-service 9, including Employee Profile, Student Profile, Registration, and Faculty Assignments
  • Custom web applications (Grails and Django), including Who-What, ATLAS, and Class Dashboard
  • Any other system that relies on a direct connection to Banner

The following systems will not be impacted:

  • University networks
  • Phone systems
  • Main (public) websites
  • Brightspace
  • Office 365
  • Email services
  • Video surveillance systems
  • Electronic door access
  • Application for admission
