Position Overview: Patricia Filbrandt, Managing Director/ Advisor at Savant, is looking for a trainee that would be working directly with her. The University Division of Savant works exclusively with university professionals nationally; Patricia is responsible for meeting with top-level University leaders across the country. She has many one-on-one meetings as well as provides seminars and webinars to groups. The individual she is seeking to join their team, would need to support these efforts.
Job Summary: “The Financial Planning Trainee role supports the advisor and prepares financial analyses. In addition, this role ensures financial analyses are consistently prepared to maintain firm standards. This role will assist the advisor with individual sales to new clients and support advisor’s presentations to top-level academic leaders at leading universities across the country.”
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General research and analysis of benefits at specific universities.
- Research and analysis for individual client financial planning.
- Complete general financial planning recommendations and projections
- Provide sales support where needed.
- Communicate orally and in writing with prospects and clients.
- Schedule and prepare presentation materials for prospect and client meetings.
- Some travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of
marketing, accounting, finance or a relevant field. (CFP®) Certificate Program is helpful. - Obtain series 65.
- Must possesses a career-oriented passion for financial planning.
- Ideally possesses understanding of the financial planning process.
- Possesses strong ethical, client-oriented skills.
- Supports the execution of presentations to a group.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, budgeting and planning skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in MS office and general CRM.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates competent organizational skills and an eye for detail.
- Manages multiple priorities and can multi-task.
- Possesses the ability to be self-motivated, to work well independently and as part of a
team. - Demonstrates the ability to work well with all levels of the team, as well as with clients
and prospects. - Maintains a positive and supportive attitude in the workplace.
Compensation: $55,000 /year with opportunity for incentives
