Position Overview: “Under the direction of the Supervisor – Energy Services or designee, responsible for monitoring CU solar programs and assist customers with solar inquiries. Prepares electric, natural gas and water usage information and lighting worksheets for commercial customers. Assists with running MY ACCOUNT testing scripts. Assists with program research and benchmarking. Reviews and recommends updates of marketing material. Provide administrative assistance to staff as needed.”
Position Description:
1. Organizes all paper rebate applications received in office and sends to rebate processing vendor.
2. Reviews, organizes, and enters all net metering applications into a database for the engineers to review. Monitors all open net metering applications and communicates with both internal and external customers to answers any questions.
3. Assists the Energy Services Specialists by preparing electric, natural gas, or water usage reports for commercial customers.
4. Performs testing scenarios on the customer portal for bug fixes or enhancements on a regular basis.
5. Reviews work for accuracy before mailing letters and/or checks to customers.
6. Reports rebate and other program totals and statistics to the Supervisor – Energy Services or designee.
7. Creates usage charts and reports for commercial customers for Energy Services Specialists.
8. Responsible for organization and maintenance of Energy Services resource materials and products.
9. Answers the Energy Services department phone line, takes messages, and assists customers as needed. Composes correspondence via email to customers and contractors on a daily basis.
10. Assists in program research, implementation plans, outreach, and education.
11. Provides administrative support to the department.
12. Performs other related duties as required or assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
1.Education and Experience:
Enrolled in an accredited college or university working towards a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, Environmental Affairs, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Six months’ of progressively responsible experience in business, administrative support, and/or general office work is preferred.
2.Licensing/Certification:
Must have a valid driver’s license (minimum Class F).
3.Physical Requirements:
Typically, sedentary work. Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word and receive detailed information through oral communication. Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, and close visual acuity to operate a computer is required. Performs bending and stooping for filing purposes.
4.Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
5.Miscellaneous Requirements:
New hires are informed of the requirements of the Internship upon hire, and incumbents must continue to meet the requirements each semester in order to continue employment. Interns who do not meet the requirements may be ineligible for the internship and their employment may be terminated.
Must be able to work successfully with diverse groups of people.
6.TESTING:
Testing may be required.
Start and End Date: ASAP – 3 months after graduation
Compensation: $13.00-$16.00/hr
