Khalid Kalbiyev, a graduate assistant for the Marketing Department, was recently awarded a Distinguished Research Award by the Institute for Global Business Research, (IGBR), on April 20th, 2023. On Friday, April 21st, 2023, Khalid presented his research, “Human-Machine Relationships in Automation Industry: Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Automation Applications.” Khalid’s research identifies and explores the emerging phenomenon trends of integrating advanced technology into the automation industry, which has allowed for previously unfeasible levels of quality and productivity to now be feasible. To learn more about his research, I have asked Khalid to answer a few questions and tell us a bit more about his work.
When prompted with the question, what do you hope others will gain from your research? Khalid answered, “I can say that my research has the potential to provide several important benefits to others: Insights into the relationship between humans and machines in the context of automation, including the role of trust, the continuing role of humans, the impacted labor market, newly generated job-related skills.” Followed up with, what do you wish your research will accomplish? He responded, “By highlighting the potential implications of my findings for managers and researchers in the automation industry, I can help ensure that my research has practical value and can be used to inform decision-making and problem solving.” Khalid’s research expanded on the human and machine relationships in the automation industry and how robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) are applied within. After all his hard work collecting data and researching, Khalid would also like to thank Dr. Ismet Anitsal and Dr. M. Meral Anitsal for their guidance, support, encouragement, and feedback throughout the development of his paper. – their assistance was instrumental in the direction and focus of this study.
The Marketing Department is immensely proud of Khalid’s hard work and would like to congratulate him on his distinguished research findings, and recent award from the IGBR. We wish Khalid the best as he continues his research and studies.
