What is the program?
It is a great opportunity for students to get some hands-on opportunities to work in the Springfield Community with nonprofit agencies of a wide variety, all while being paid through the Federal Work-Study Program. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience and skills.
Program Highlights
- Work with Local Agencies: Match with local nonprofit agencies to work 10-12 hours per week throughout the academic year.
- Earn While You Learn: Receive a paycheck through Federal Work Study funding.
- Develop Leadership Skills: Learn civic responsibility and nonprofit leadership skills.
- Expand Your Horizons: Broaden your educational experience and awareness of community needs.
- Make a Difference: Provide valuable services, insights, and energy to the Springfield community.
- Community Service Projects: Participate in at least one service project in the community each semester.

Qualifications
- Don’t have to currently have work study, just be eligible based on your FAFSA (a lot of students are eligible, so don’t want not having work study to stop students from applying.)
