Training The Next Olympians – Part 2

May 26, 2015 by Natalie Allen

We continue to implement TRAIN (Testing Recreational Activities and Improving Nutrition) in conjunction with ARC of the Ozarks.  Dietetics and kinesiology students work with athletes to evaluate physical strengths and abilities, then identify a sport the athletes could try within Special Olympics.  Dietetics students also discussed sports nutrition and hydration.  We’ve continued this partnership for several years and it is a win/win, as our students love helping, as much as the ARC participants love learning about Special Olympics.  Great job everyone!

TRAIN 1 TRAIN 2 TRAIN 3 TRAIN 4
