Position Overview: The Applications Support Analyst at Cold Zone, Inc., reports to the Inventory Control Manager and conducts analytical assessments for the betterment of the team and business. The Applications Support Analyst will play an integral part in the Warehouse team. This role will monitor the WMS (Warehouse Management System) performance, proactively look at areas for improvement, and lead all issue resolution. They will work with the IT team to manage data flow within the WMS. WMS Analyst is responsible for overall Warehouse Management System (WMS) support to the operations team to ensure that the WMS and subsystems deliver the performance and functionality necessary for the DC operations team. The candidate is a crucial liaison to the Warehouse Leadership, via analyzing and evaluating WMS functionality to meet expanding business needs. Responsible for ensuring that the business requirements are identified and executed through proper functional design, configuration, and testing. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coaches our various users and clients to understand the WMS systems 
• Acts as the first line of support for issue resolution 
• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues, identify root causes, and escalate those issues as necessary 
• Supports Warehouse Operations to identify process changes, support business objectives, and drive efficiency 
• Serve as WMS business super user in configuration, troubleshooting, and future developments 
• Performs enhancement testing for Cold Zone sites. 
• Creates documentation of new processes or procedures; testing documentation; specifications or proposals; training materials 
• Supports User Acceptance Testing 
• Works with the Inventory Control team, Operational team, third-party WMS providers and WMS developers as needed 
• Provides hardware maintenance for printers and other devices; maintains an inventory of all devices. For example, works with Cold Zone’s Zebra distributor for service as needed. 
• Experience with other WMS software is ideal (Royal 4, High Jump, Dynamics 365) 
• Cold Zone supports 24/7 operations and the WMS specialist may be required to be on call and work occasionally outside of regular business hours. 

Applications Support Analyst Skills/Abilities

• Experience implementing WMS Systems
  • Royal 4, SAP, Oracle, High Jump, NetSuite, Manhattan, Dynamics 365 
• Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, etc.) 
• Ability to create routine reports and system documentation 
• Strong analytical skills 
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team skills 
• Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical users 
• Proficiency with databases 
• Follow Safety and Food Safety Polices & Procedures. 

Education and Experience (Required and/or Preferred)

• Required: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and WMS 
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Required: Valid Driver’s License 
• Preferred: 2 years of work experience in related field. 
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
• Preferred: Experience implementing WMS Systems 
• Preferred: Experience supporting a Warehouse(s) running a WMS platform(s) 
• Preferred: Experience utilizing reporting tools 
• Preferred: Associates degree in Business Management, Logistics, or related field 
• Preferred: Previous warehouse or logistics supervisor experience 

Physical and/or Travel Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time 
• Some domestic travel required from time to time.
