Welcome Center panels

The Davis-Harrington Welcome Center is the “front door” to campus. All tours for prospective students start here, so we created interactive panels with text, videos and more about different aspects of campus that would appeal to incoming students and their families. Additional visual elements of the brand are seen throughout the center, including a display highlighting MSU’s commitment to sustainability.

Caitlin Schukwit is a sight to see hanging around campus. Caitlin is one of seven students featured on banners that are hung in prominent places around campus. The brief info about each student backs up the “citizen-construction,” a messaging tool in the brand platform that highlights how the campus community is putting the public affairs mission into action.

Graduate students are focused. Focused on programs, mentors, outcomes and cost. These factors are at the forefront of recruitment materials that prospective students receive when they begin researching Missouri State’s graduate offerings. This publication is hand-distributed, with opportunity for students to visit with MSU professionals. The call to action is to apply to the Graduate College.

The invitation outlines the benefits students receive in the Honors College, such as smaller class sizes, engaging course work and special library privileges. The call to action is to complete the Honors College response form and apply for Missouri State’s most prestigious scholarships.

One in eight teachers in Missouri are a graduate of Missouri State. This is one of many informational graphics used by the College of Education to convey beneficial information to prospective future teachers. This brochure outlines the offerings of the college, while promoting the teaching profession. Students are invited through the publication to tour, request additional information and apply.

Missouri State is focused on attracting, recruiting and retaining students who are the right fit. These students fit our brand personality of pragmatic and optimistic, engaged and tenacious, genuine and grounded. These defining traits are emphasized throughout the viewbook, the admissions office flagship recruitment publication. The printed recruitment materials won Silver and Bronze awards from District IV CASE  in 2016.

More than 15 percent of Bears are from states outside of Missouri. Information like the out-of-state fee waiver and cost comparisons are key among the messages shared with students who are interested in attending Missouri State.
