The Forest Technology Systems weather station senses and records data for the Fire Program got an upgrade today from Department of Conservation personnel Ben Webster, MDC Fire Program Supervisor; Terry Thompson, MDC Forestry Ozark Regional Supervisor and Russell Hinnah, MDC Forest District Supervisor. The information this station records is available at http://mesowest.utah.edu/ (by clicking on the state of Missouri on the map, then selecting the RAWS network and refreshing the map).

There are two weather stations at our experiment station. The AgEbb weather station tracks general weather data and the MesoWest station tracks weather data specific to fire hazard. The wind meter on the MesoWest is 20 feet from the ground whereas the wind meter on the AgEbb station is about 10 feet from the ground.
