Raspberries shoot thinned today

April 29, 2019 by Marilyn Odneal

The raspberries in grow bags were shoot thinned today. We want to maintain 4 – 5 shoots per bag (square foot) for production in the high tunnel.

The shoots are thinned to 6 per bag so we can ultimately have 4 - 5 per bag. The extra shoot is insurance.

Shelia waters the bagged raspberries after they have been thinned and moved into the high tunnel.
