Supporting Mental Health
Access to behavioral health care is challenging due to a shortage of specialists. To address this, Mercy Collaborative Care Management is expanding access to mental health services.
How Mercy Collaborative Care Works
Mercy integrates behavioral health experts into primary care. Through virtual and phone visits, behavioral health managers support patients, while consultative psychiatrists assist primary care physicians in treating depression and anxiety. Patients can enroll in the program within 24 to 48 hours.
How It Works:
- Your primary care provider refers you to Collaborative Care.
- A team member contacts you to schedule an initial session.
- You can connect via phone or video.
- Your clinician and provider work together as part of your care team.
Talk to your Primary Care Provider for a referral. If you need immediate help, call or text 988.
Mercy’s Collaborative Care program is just one way to access essential mental health resources. In addition, Missouri State University offers several wellness programs to further support employee mental well-being.
Upcoming Wellness Programs
In partnership with Mercy, Employee Wellness at Missouri State University offers upcoming programs aimed at promoting mental health and wellness among employees. These programs are designed to help employees manage stress, anxiety, and depression while providing resources for support. For questions, contact EmployeeWellness@MissouriState.edu.
