Greetings! Upgrade Day has been completed and verified by Networking personnel.
Beginning at about 10:00 this morning, the Missouri State networks, including the campus internet connection, experienced an unexpected outage related to an electrical issue. The campus internet connection was restored at about 10:30 AM.
The Networking and Telecommunications department is working to fully restore network services.
Update: Network services have been restored.
The data network for Park Central Office Building is currently unavailable. This outage will affect access to the Internet, servers, wireless, printing, VoIP phones and any other services that rely on the data network. Analog phones are not affected. Staff have been dispatched to the site and will restore services as soon as possible.

In their efforts to maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, the Networking and Telecommunications department will be applying updates to network connectivity equipment on the morning of Sunday, February 10, 2019.

Routine upgrades to the University’s mission critical networks and information systems are necessary to provide reliable and secure technology-related services. These upgrade activities are scheduled for times when the disruption to the University community are minimized. Plan accordingly, as the University’s networks and information systems will be unavailable during the upgrade period.
