Upgrade Day – Sunday, August 13, 2023

On Sunday, August 13, 2023, several university systems will be down for scheduled maintenance:

  • 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Several core networks and systems will be upgraded.  Users of university services may notice intermittent outages during this time.

System Update – Sunday, March 5, 2023

On Sunday, March 5, the authentication system will be updated and therefore unavailable:

  • 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Blackboard and all other systems reliant upon CAS authentication will not be available during this time.

There will be no impact to other systems such as: University networks, phone systems, main websites, Banner, Office 365, email services, video surveillance systems, electronic door access, and the application for admission.

To maintain the University’s technology infrastructure at the level required to ensure reliable and secure delivery of services and technologies, Information Services will be applying updates to the Banner environment on Sunday.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, several university systems will be down for scheduled maintenance:

  • 12:01 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. – Internet for Springfield, West Plains and Mountain Grove campuses will be unavailable.
  • 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Several core network systems will be upgraded.  Users of university services may notice intermittent outages during this time.

Updated Reminder: Upgrade Day, August 14, 2022

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, several university systems will be down for scheduled maintenance.

  • 12:01 a.m. – 1:30 a.m. – Internet for Springfield, West Plains and Mountain Grove campuses will be unavailable.
  • 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – During this time, users who sign in to Office 365 services with an account in the format “abc123@missouristate.edu” may not be able to login into email or Office 365. Affected users include Faculty/Staff with accounts created before December 11, 2019.
    After this change, some users may be asked to sign in again.
  • 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Wireless network upgrades will impact wireless service on the Springfield campus causing intermittent outages during this time.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Firewall upgrades will impact services operated from university data centers, the Bookstore, and Magers Health and Wellness Center. Users of university services may notice brief, intermittent outages during this time.
