Xi Omicron Iota

Xi Omicron Iota
Xi Omicron Iota

Xi Omicron Iota was started in February 2002 when the Student Government Association officially approved the Constitution of the Organization, recognizing them as a Greek chapter on the campus of Missouri State University. The first recruitment was held the next month to an overwhelming result. The first new class, comprised of 22 women, ranged from freshmen to seniors.

Xi Omicron Iota is founded on the ideals of loyalty, sisterhood, and friendship. The five founding mothers wanted the opportunity to offer the benefits of a sorority without live-in house requirements or the fees associated with a national office. Their chapter advisor still continues her dedication to Xi Omicron Iota, and the chapter is proud to be affiliated with no less than 38 different organizations around campus.
