Dr. Randi Ulbricht, faculty member in Biomedical Sciences, is helping local middle schoolers learn more about forensic science over video chat. Dr. Ulbricht and her Missouri State students talked about courses they take to become a scientist and do demonstrations like how they get DNA out of a mouse tail, seeing the type of DNA each mouse has, and other cool stuff in the Biomedical Science research laboratory. The middle school students got to ask Dr. Ulbricht and the university students questions about their work and how to become a forensic scientist along the way.
The video chat was set up and the video provided by @neprisapp.
