We planted Valvin Muscat grapes on a C3309 rootstock in 2011 and they bore a small, partial crop in 2013. This year will be their fourth growing season. Primary bud mortality of 44% was determined today using a 100 bud sample taken from the two rows. We experienced temperature as low as -8 degrees Fahrenheit in January of 2014.
