Today we harvested some of the Salanova lettuce for the first time. We also planted potatoes in between the rows of lettuce and cole crops we planted in February. The following potato sets were planted 1 foot apart and about 3-4 inches deep: Red Noland, Red Pontiac, German Butterball and Red Gold.

We harvested every other plant of the lettuce. Here is Salanova Red Butter

We counted and weighed the small heads from each variety

After harvest, we put about 4 heads in each bread sack to distribute.
