John Rumfelt brought his weird looking Beauregard sweet potato vine in to the station wondering why it looked so strange. It is fasciated - flattened and ribbed - due to hormonal imbalance from a mutation or other factors. Fasciation is not contagious and John told Leslie Akers that the vines had a good amount of sweet potatoes.
