The State Young Farmers toured the Fruit Experiment Station today as part of their 46th Annual Missouri Young Farmers Summer Tour. This year’s tour is hosted by the State Executive Committee in conjunction with Missouri State University and highlighting the MSU College of Agriculture. There were about 150 participants. Dr. Hwang welcomed the group. Jennifer Morganthaler, Susanne Howard and Dr. Martin Kaps each led one of the three groups through the campus tour (along with the greenhouses handled by Dr. Wenping Qiu and myself), the field tour and a tour of the winery/distillery handled by C. J. Odneal and Dr. Karl Wilker. Surya Sapkota, Avery Crisp helped with the wagons tours while Randy Stout and Jeremy Emery drove the wagons. All of our faculty and staff did a great job on this event and we enjoyed hosting the young farmers.
