A BIG congratulations to two of our very own. Last week employees from the Fruit Experiment Station received awards at the 2024 Staff Service Awards Program held in Springfield.

Steven Turner celebrated 15 years of service with the University.  Steven is the Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic at the station and serves as an integral part of the operations. We constantly ask him to think outside of the box and he is always willing to help out in any way possible.

Shelia Long was nominated for and received the Staff Excellence in University Service award.  The Staff Excellence in University Service Award is given annually to six Missouri State staff members in recognition of significant contributions to the university community. The university wishes to recognize those staff employees who strive to do their jobs well on a daily basis, those who go above and beyond the call of duty in a special situation, and those who have contributed in a significant way to the success of the university. Shelia plays a critical role in the field operations especially the vineyards. Her vast knowledge is such an asset to everyone.
