I don’t know about you, but Homecoming is a favorite time of year for me. The students are engaged in many Homecoming activities, and we’re thrilled to welcome back our alumni to campus.
This year’s theme is “To the Moon and Back.” It embodies all things outer space, discovery and exploration. The Homecoming committee is excited to see what “out of this world” ideas our students come up with.
There’s a lot happening on campus
The students were busy last week decorating downtown, participating in Chalk N’ Rock on the North Mall and the Spirit Banner competition.
This week kicked off with the clothing and food drive at the Multicultural Resource Center and Center for Community Engagement; these donation drives will continue through Friday.
The PSU Window Decorating took place yesterday. Tonight is Rockstar at Hammons Student Center (not to be missed). Thursday night is MO State Live at Hammons Student Center. On Friday, Maroon and White Night will take place at the PSU North Mall.
Saturday is always fun filled. Plan to attend some of the following:
- 9 a.m. – Homecoming Parade, JQH Parkway through campus.
- 10 a.m. – Lady Bears Basketball Scrimmage, Great Southern Bank Arena.
- 11 a.m. – Bears Basketball Scrimmage, Great Southern Bank Arena.
- 11 a.m. – BearFest Village: Alumni Tailgate, north of Plaster Stadium.
- 2 p.m. – Bears Football vs. Murray State, Plaster Stadium.
On Sunday, the festivities wrap up with the Alabama Concert at Great Southern Bank Arena. Tickets are still available!
2023 What’s New video
Also, premiering over the Homecoming weekend is the 2023 edition of What’s New at MSU video. Look for it on our homepage next week.
