Dear students,
Welcome back to campus and Happy New Year! I hope you had a relaxing holiday break.
As we start the spring semester, I want to make you aware of a change in how we’ll handle campus closures due to unsafe weather conditions.
Classes will move to remote learning during weather closures
As we experienced during the pandemic, advances in online learning technology have made it possible for classes to be offered remotely.
Beginning this semester, when weather conditions make coming to campus unsafe, classes will move to remote delivery.
This allows classes to stay on schedule so all planned coursework can be covered. This is especially important for classes that meet just once or twice a week.
Your instructors and professors will inform you on how they’ll implement remote learning when these situations arise. This information will also be covered in the syllabus for each of your classes.
It’s the new year – eat healthfully, exercise, have fun with friends, study hard and have a successful spring semester.
