Provost Dr. Frank Einhellig

In Kansas City’s Business Magazine: Ingram’s, Provost Dr. Frank Einhellig was named as one of their 2019 Icons of Education. Dr. Einhellig was chosen because he demonstrated “exceptional, lifelong commitment to improving the lives of his students.” In his article, Dr. Einhellig talks about his experience with education by saying, “I eventually realized that education in general—and the experience of a college education in particular—has broadened my horizons, and I made the decision that I needed to share my love learning.” And he has shared his love of learning! He says, “I was enticed by what I saw in Missouri State as a strong, solid academic university that was ready and should have a greatly expanded graduate program. I also saw the strength and abilities of faculty that would allow them to grow in their research and creative activities needed to accompany and lead graduation education.” Since becoming Provost, Dr. Einhellig says, “We now have tripled the number of graduate programs that existed when I came to the institution and those programs include a significant impact on providing health-care professions other than medical school.”

Congratulations, Dr. Einhellig, and thank you for everything you’ve done for Missouri State!
