2019 Natural World Assessment Workshop

2019 Workshop

On May 21-22, in Glass Hall 0486, the Jones Meeting & Reception Room, faculty reviewed and discussed student learning from all courses in General Education with General Goals 10 and 11 of General Education. These general goals focus on Life and Physical Sciences. Through this workshop, faculty, staff, and students had the opportunity to network with colleagues across campus.

Faculty participants received:

  • A $500 stipend for all faculty reviewers
  • Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided daily
  • A certificate of University Citizenship (Faculty Handbook 4.2.3.2)

Student participants received: 

  • A $100 gift card
  • Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided daily
  • A certificate of University Citizenship

I Would Like to Participate in 2020

If you would like to be considered as a reviewer in the 2020 Applied Learning Assessment Workshop or if you are an instructor of any General Education Applied Learning course and would like to volunteer to participate and bring an assignment to share with colleagues, please email JuliaCottrell@missouristate.edu. The 2020 Applied Learning Assessment Workshop will cover General Goals 1: Critical Inquiry, Analysis, and Problem Solving, 5: Quantitative Literacy, and 15: Integrative and Applied Learning.
