In Spring 2019, Rachel Besara, Associate Dean of Meyer Library, received an Assessment Grant for her project titled University Libraries’ Student Led Assessment of Students’ Libraries Attitudes, Experiences, and Needs. Rachel Besara explains “The results of this assessment (and assessments that follow up and/or new projects that are enabled because of this training) will shape how the library provides services, customized instruction, and collections/materials/items that the libraries purchase to support student learning and success. (We would also use this to inform our textbook affordability/OER/course reserves initiatives).” She also anticipates the results of will help to evolution of staff roles and tasks in the library as well as renovation of the physical spaces.
The Office of Assessment would like to extend congratulations and commend Rachel Besara for her hard work in improving the university library for the students here at Missouri State.
